My Grandmother passed away on Monday.
It wasn't a surprise. She'd been ill for a very long time. She had a stroke on Mother's Day 2007 and became very frail, in body anyway. I worried about her a lot. Especially after my Dad, her only child, passed away in October 2007. It had been a very rough year for us all.
My Grandma Myrtle was an elegant lady every day of her life.
She introduced me to the theatre, fine dining and fashion. She was
my mentor and my friend. I was her only grandchild, but she was okay with that.

I miss her. I miss my Dad. I believe that they are together now somewhere in the universe. Starstuff.

I've been away from DA for a bit. I have Tendonitis in my left hand. My drawing hand. I have to wear this uber-restrictive spint for another couple of weeks and its driving me
I haven't been able to draw all month. Good thing I didn't have any challenges.

Once I'm back to 100%, I will be putting up several new pieces.
My good friends and fellow DAs, and have made the suggestion that I might consider taking on commissions.

I haven't done that in a long time, but when I did, it was really fun.
RPG OCs were always my favorite.

I've told them both that I'm reluctant about it, because I fear no one would commission me. There are so many fantastic artists on DA.

Anyway, I'm using my Splint-time to think about it.

By the time I finish this entry, I will have posted nine of my ten promised new pieces.
I am EXHAUSTED. I've been up and coloring since 6AM.
I haven't had a lot of time to devote to this challenge of mine. My boss at work resigned after twelve years and March is the busiest month at my company. I've been working 10-12hr days everyday as well as 5-6 hours on Saturdays all month.
In retrospect, giving myself a challenge at this time was not such a bright idea.
However, despite the obstacles, I am ONE piece away from securing Sabaah's honor and integrity from the lascivious clutches of a certain Mr. Hentai.
Don't get me wrong. The man is a a friend and a fantastic artist, but some things I can simply not allow.
